The 30-second buying decision
A tiny framework we use inside Chagua to help you decide fast — without regret.
The Chagua Desk · Jan 22, 2026

You don't need a spreadsheet to buy a kettle. You need three questions, in order.
1. What is the outcome, in one sentence?
Not "a good kettle." Try: *"boils 1L in under 4 minutes, doesn't rust, quiet enough for a shared kitchen."* Outcomes beat features.
2. Who has recently delivered this outcome?
"Recently" is the hard word. Chagua weights the last 90 days heaviest.
3. What's the cheapest reversible option?
If you can return it, resell it, or start smaller — do that first. Reversibility is a feature.
Fast decisions are safe decisions when the exit is cheap.
